The Tree Story Recycled Wood Pencil is created by Tombow for the sustainability of the Earth's ecosystem. Each hexagonal pencil is produced by the special "Finger Joint" technique, by adhering waste wood scraps and reforming them into fine pencils. Some pencils may come with the seam of two different pieces of wood, which adds a touch of serendipitous warmth to them. The graphite is also manufactured by recycling the remains from Tombow pencil factories, and then being further refined to a higher-purity composition to produce the core.
