Lightwrite Alpha ()is Zebra's updated design to their original Lightwrite "flashlight" pen. The Lightwrite allows you to click and illuminate the paper beneath your pen tip so you'll never have to struggle to write in your notebook on a dark airplane or dimly lit restaurant ever again. Every other click allows you to turn on the LED light located at the tip of the pen. If you don't need the extra light at the moment, just click one more time to write without the added brightness. The Lightwrite Alpha has the added option of a red LED light that is less harsh on the eyes, making it ideal for spending an extended amount of time in the dark, such as with outdoor insect collecting or nighttime observation. Both ends of the updated Alpha pen have a glow-in-the-dark ring, in case you have trouble finding your pen in the dark.
