"I love white birch trees. Born and raised in Hokkaido, they have been part of my life since childhood. When I was little, I often visited the mountain land in Niseko that my father inherited, riding his snowmobile through the trees and along the ridges, a sight that left a lasting impression on me. On that land stood a small hut with a wood stove, and I remember learning from my grandparents how to collect birch bark for kindling. Though I was born and raised in Sapporo, my love for the mountains has never changed, and I still prefer the mountains to the sea. Even now, birch trees remain on the land my father cared for, with a beautiful view of Mt. Yotei. At my age, memories of the past come back more vividly, and I feel a deep desire to protect the rows of white-barked birch trees and their scenery for years to come. Balancing their mysterious, dignified presence with a quiet motif, I created my favorite masking tape." by creator Yohaku
